This Zin strikes a perfect balance between a welcoming juicy nose and a big, tannic structure that will lay down for years.
This wine is a blend of 90% Zinfandel and 10% syrah from Dry Creek Valley. We think Syrah is a perfct blending Grape with Zinfandel becuase it tends to slide in behind Zin's fruit character withour interfering, while fleshing out the spice and structure on the finish.
This wine saw a small amount of american oak before bottling and has a bright, vibrant acidity that will pair well with all things that have red sauce, melted cheese or barbecue sauce. We expect this wine to be able to age for a solid 16 years but it is ready to drink right now.
